When j ' I made this soup I had just bought a new cooker then the morning before leaving I adjust the timer and go I'm leaving work.
On my return, I look at my soup, which had not fragrant smell of home, and surprise, the broth is hot but not boiling and the potatoes cuitent not at all.
I finish the soup on the stove and think Me I went to change this slow cooker.
But ultimately this soup was very good. Sakia

6 cups 1 L + 500 ml chicken broth 1 onion, chopped
3 potatoes, peeled and diced 1 ½ cups
375 ml
cabbage cut into pieces 1 leek, sliced 2 carrots, diced
2 stalks celery, sliced ¼ cup
fresh parsley 1 tablespoon chopped
tsp salt ½ tsp
teaspoon pepper 1 bay leaf
2 large sweet Italian sausage, sliced (I 3)
½ lbs bacon (bacon bits) (not set)
-In slow cooker, combine chicken broth, potatoes, cabbage, leek, onion, carrots, celery, parsley, salt, pepper and bay leaf. Mix thoroughly.
-Add the pieces on top of sausages. Cover and cook 8-10 hours on low or 5-6 hours on high.
-Cook bacon and cut into small pieces. Book.
-Remove bay leaf Place small pieces of cooked bacon on top of the bowl just before serving. (You can add ½ cup sour cream 125 ml diluted in 125 ml ½ cup chicken broth and add to end of cooking).
